Detail of the top of the dress
The two different materials I used.
I liked the contrasting colors.

The top of the gathered skirt (this will be sewn to the bodice/top of the dress)
The peasant bodice with elastic in the neck and sleeves.
Elastic creates such pretty, feminine, gathers :-)
before putting the elastic in.
The skirt after I cut off the original waistband.
(This was a thrift store bargain I found. It is a linen woman's skirt)
