Devonshire

Hello from Devonshire!

Went shopping with Grandma today. Clark's shoes, Austins, The Body Shop and Waterson's a book shop. Great deals on some shoes at CLARK'S. Found a red pair of leather 'mary janes.'

Now we are at Uncle David's having tea and chocolate digestives. Ollie the gray and white cat is sitting outside in the sun and Bella the boxer and Mugwae a little gray dog are playing together by the green AGA in the teal blue kitchen. (An Aga is a stove/oven that stays hot all the time)

This morning I walked in Grandma's neighborhood down to the 'Model Store' a little convenience store and the coffee shop nearby. Looked at some antique teacups and silver sugar spoons for a pound sterling. They also had framed photography by a local photographer. Flowers and landscapes of Devon. A quiet place at 12:15 in the afternoon. One couple sat eating their lunch and they chatted in hushed tones.

Walked back to Grandma's hearing the laughter and frolicking of schoolboys as they played soccer in the Primary school. I decided that Abbotskerswell is a lovely place to come to in June.

Some great relaxing, uplifting music to listen to on the plane, train or bus is by the MacDonald family singers. 'A Shelter in the Time of Storm', 'In the Garden', and 'VICTORY' are my favorites.
Go to www.macdonaldfamilysingers.com/ to buy a CD.
I also recommend a CD called 'HOPE,' it is peaceful instrumental piano music.

Signing off for now at 6:40pm (that's UK time)(in the US it is only 12:40 pm in the afternoon)
