If the thief be found let him pay double           Exodus 27:7

But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold    Proverbs 6:31

Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven.                                    Matthew 18:22

Then I restored that which I took away.         Psalms 69:4

Under the law, the minimum amount a thief was required to restore was double what he had stolen. Solomon, the king decided seven-fold would be appropriate. Our Lord Jesus, on the other hand, would not only forgive an offence seven times, but seventy times seven. Beyond even that, He restored that which He had not stolen away, the thing of greatest value, that is, eternal life.

Chocolate chip marbled cookies-

I made our regular cookie recipe but added the choc. chips right after the melted butter so they turned out marbled instead of looking like they usually do. This recipe is from my good friend who lives in China as a missionary. She is a wonderful cook, woman of God, Christ follower and mother- and these are my favorite choc. chip cookies!

This is an article about the GNOM team. (Good News On the Move)  They travel around the States and do door-to-door work giving people invitations to coffee nights at the local assembly.
In March they held a carnival in a park in Dallas. We went down and helped them for the weekend. It was a good experience. Then on the Sunday afternoon we went to nursing homes to sing and preach the gospel.

This is a great website with resources for sharing the Gospel with others. They have videos of interviews using the 10 Commandments.  I gave out some tracts in the airports in Chicago, Philadelphia and Glasgow on our way home yesterday.
I had some good conversations with several ladies after giving them  tracts. I gave out "More than a Friend" and "I must tell you this."
They are published in Glasgow by Gospel Publications.

Devonshire

Hello from Devonshire!

Went shopping with Grandma today. Clark's shoes, Austins, The Body Shop and Waterson's a book shop. Great deals on some shoes at CLARK'S. Found a red pair of leather 'mary janes.'

Now we are at Uncle David's having tea and chocolate digestives. Ollie the gray and white cat is sitting outside in the sun and Bella the boxer and Mugwae a little gray dog are playing together by the green AGA in the teal blue kitchen. (An Aga is a stove/oven that stays hot all the time)

This morning I walked in Grandma's neighborhood down to the 'Model Store' a little convenience store and the coffee shop nearby. Looked at some antique teacups and silver sugar spoons for a pound sterling. They also had framed photography by a local photographer. Flowers and landscapes of Devon. A quiet place at 12:15 in the afternoon. One couple sat eating their lunch and they chatted in hushed tones.

Walked back to Grandma's hearing the laughter and frolicking of schoolboys as they played soccer in the Primary school. I decided that Abbotskerswell is a lovely place to come to in June.

Some great relaxing, uplifting music to listen to on the plane, train or bus is by the MacDonald family singers. 'A Shelter in the Time of Storm', 'In the Garden', and 'VICTORY' are my favorites.
Go to www.macdonaldfamilysingers.com/ to buy a CD.
I also recommend a CD called 'HOPE,' it is peaceful instrumental piano music.

Signing off for now at 6:40pm (that's UK time)(in the US it is only 12:40 pm in the afternoon)

Elgin photographer

Greetings from Scotland!

I am in quaint, lovely Elgin at the moment, for the the first International Trumpet Conference held here.

Heard trumpet greats such as Andrea Tofanelli, James Bond soundtrack player, Derek Watkins, Ryan Quigley, and Georgina Bromilow. Met new friends and saw some old ones too.

Natural Spice is a great Indian food restaurant. I highly recommned it. It is just by the Town square here
Enjoying the food, weather and beautiful scenery. :-) I have taken at least 800 photos already!
Check back soon for picures! Looking forward to seeing Grandma in Devon. Met a couple this morning from Florida at breakfast. Watched them try black pudding- with much intimidation, they said it tasted interesting.

Hasta luego
Adiós,
Ciao!
Chì mi rithist thu (Scottish gaelic)

That was a rare post-  absolutely no photos! And I call myself a photographer! Well, you must excuse me and understand that this is a public computer and I can't possibly upload my 832 pics at this present moment!

Thanks for understanding. :-)

BEHIND THE SUN- inspiring movie

We watched this inspiring movie last night. Samir, a new Iranian Christian travels back to visit his family after finding Christ in Chicago.

He faces rejection and disownment from his family when they discover he has left Islam for Christianity.

Follow Samir as he searches for local believers in Iran and is encouraged by the fellowship, valued much more highly there than here in America.

A riveting story that exposes the viewer to what life is like for many Christians around the world.

This is the website (Open Doors) that sells the DVD if you are interested. www.christianfilms.com/behindthesundvd.htm

A sobering reminder to daily lift up in prayer our persecuted family.
